St. Vincent Hospital's Taking Time support group meets on the first Wednesday of the month from 6:30 to 8 P.M. in the St. Vincent Regional Cancer Center conference room in Green Bay. The support group is a place to meet others who are faced with the challenge of living with cancer. It is open to patients, family members, and friends.

Heckrodt Wetland Reserve's early childhood program series, "ToddlerTrails," meets the first and third Thursday of every month from 10 to 11 A.M. at the Heckrodt Nature Center. The program is designed for toddlers 12 to 36 months, accompanied by a parent or other adult.
Toddlers use their senses to explore their worlds every day -- touching, smelling, seeing, and listening. Toddler Trails provides a child-friendly experience guided by a naturalist, where they can explore nature using all these senses and more!
The fee for Toddler Trails is $4 per adult/child pair, $2 for additional older siblings. Note that toddlers require parental assistance; older siblings must be able to attend to themselves as program participants. A discounted rate for three consecutive sessions is available for $10/adult-child pair. There is no charge for children under 12 months or additional adults.

Suamico, WI - The 21st Annual Beer Belly Two Run/Walk will be held on Sunday, June 28th, 2009. Registration is available from 8:00 to 9:45 a.m. West of Velp Ave. at 1886 Riverside Drive in Suamico. The run/walk begins at 10:30 a.m.
The Beer Belly Two is an annual two-mile family fun run/walk with four rootbeer/beer/water stops. The event is held for the sole purpose of raising funds for four local charities whose mission impacts children in one way or another: Golden House, Paul’s Pantry, Families of Children with Cancer, The Ecumenical Partnership for Housing, and the Brown County Food & Hunger Network. All money raised and donated stays in the area. Over the past 20 years, the event has raised over $400,000!

The program, cosponsored by UW Fox Valley and the UW Oshkosh’s Adult Nontraditional Student Resource (ANSR) office and the Center for New Learning (CNL), is geared toward adults who are considering going to college but need help in knowing where to begin and what resources are available to them. Start Here, Start Now is appropriate for potential undergraduate and graduate students.
Participants will have the chance to explore possible areas of study, learn how to apply for admission and financial assistance and discover campus career resources. Nontraditional students will share their personal challenges and successes regarding their return to higher education.
This course will provide you with all the fun information you need to impress your friends with your very own Wine Tasting Party. We will discuss the elements of Blind Tastings, Themes for Wine Tasting Parties(by world region, by wine style), a brief review of the 5S's of Wine Sensatory Evaluation, Breathing and Decanting and complementary Wine Tips.
UW Manitowoc is hosting an informational session on their collaborative degree programs. Come learn how to complete your degree and earn a Bachelor of Arts or Science in Criminal Justice, a Bachelor of Liberal Studies in Organizational Administration or a Bachelor of Nursing degree.

Angelic Acres is a daylily-hybridizing garden where 3000 new seedlings are planted every year. The Angelic Acres Garden is open Thursday - Sunday, July 16 - August 2. The AIM Pro Walleye Series tournament will be coming to Green Bay July 2-4, 2009. This Pro-Am tournament features the top walleye fishing Professional Anglers. It also features the exclusive AIM "Catch-Record-Release" format that uses digital photos to confirm lengths recorded on the Official Scorecard - and then immediately releases the fish.
The launch site is the Metro Boat Launch on Bay Beach Road, beginning at 7:00 AM daily. Checkin is at 4:00 PM.
The daily weigh-in starts at 5:00 PM downtown at the Fire Over The Fox grounds. The weigh-in will feature digital photos of hundreds of huge Green Bay walleyes, mixed with angler interviews and video coverage. The weigh-in will also be covered LIVE at www.aimfishing.com.

Coming to the Meyer Theatre on July 16 at 6:00pm is BEN HUR - The most expensive and beautifully photographed silent film of its time, three years in the making, complete with tints, the original color sequences, the best image quality of surviving MGM silents and a full organ score written and performed by noted local organist Frank Rippl and presented by The Packerland Theatre Organ Society. The movie will feature the historic Meyer Theater Wurlitzer Pipe Organ providing all of the music and sound effects necessary to making this silent film classic a true experience, taking the viewer back in time to 1927 when the film was first shown.Frank Rippl has been Organist/Choirmaster at all Saints’ Episcopal Church in Appleton since 1971. He is a co-founder of the Appleton Boychoir, and now serves as the Boychoir’s Director Emeritus and organist for it’s annual Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols, and is founder and coordinator of the summer Lunchtime Organ Recital Series. Mr Rippl has been performing silent films for The Packerland Theatre Organ Society for the past five years.
The Packerland Theatre Organ Society is a non profit 501(c) 3 educational organization dedicated to the preservation and presentation of the Voice of the Silent Movie ( The Theatre Organ) and is a chapter of the American Theatre Organ Society. Concerts in the Village Back by Popular Demand!
Back by popular demand is the summer concert series held in Vickery Village, Suamico. Concerts are held outdoors every Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. starting July 9. Concerts are free and feature local musicians. Some musicians featured this year are Amy Peters and Pat Lucas, the Howard/Suamico Big Band, Branch River Band and many more.
