Heckrodt Wetland Reserve's early childhood program series, "ToddlerTrails," meets the first and third Thursday of every month from 10 to 11 A.M. at the Heckrodt Nature Center. The program is designed for toddlers 12 to 36 months, accompanied by a parent or other adult.

The fee for Toddler Trails is $4 per adult/child pair, $2 for additional older siblings. Note that toddlers require parental assistance; older siblings must be able to attend to themselves as program participants. A discounted rate for three consecutive sessions is available for $10/adult-child pair. There is no charge for children under 12 months or additional adults.

Green Bay Community Theater presents "How the Other Half Loves" by Alan Ayckbourn.
There are three couples -- the men all working for the same firm. One of the younger men is having an affair with the wife of the oldest, and when each returns home suspiciously late one night, they invent a story about having to spend some time smoothing domestic matters in the home of the third couple. When the third couple shows up, the fat hits the fire, but that complication only adds to the fun of this famous farce.
"Now you can go into the theater stone-cold sober and come out a couple of hours later, drunk... from laughter," says the UPI.
Tickets are $16 per person.
During its 72 years, Green Bay Community Theater has produced 306 plays. Once a "wandering troupe" performing in schools and park lodges, its home for the past 41 years has been the Robert Lee Brault Playhouse, a 144-year-old former church, which houses an acoustically perfect auditorium and 23-foot, open-end stage. The core of GBCT programming is the September to May season of four plays: A mix of traditional comedies, serious drama, small musicals, and the work of contemporary playwrights. Each production has 10 performances, including matinees.

The FIRST Robotics Competition challenges teams of students and their mentors to design and build a robot in a six-week timeframe, using a standard “kit of parts”. The team has to analyze the game and strategize what type of robot would perform well. Typical teams meet months in advance of the building period to learn basic skills and be better prepared. The goal isn’t simply to build a robot; the robot is a vehicle for learning much more. The real goal is building a collaborative team, a supportive community and a solid strategy for problem solving during the competition.
The 2009 FIRST Robotics Competition season will involve over 1200 teams from nearly every state across the U.S., as well as Canada, England, Brazil, and Israel. There are 41 regional competitions scheduled to take place in February and March, 2009 across the U.S. and in Canada. In addition a Championship Event will be held in April 2009 at the Georgia Dome, sight of the 1996 Olympics. The Championship event draws participants from across the country and around the world and includes the competition itself, a FIRST Hall of Fame that spotlights model teams, and a conference that provides educational seminars for both students and mentors.

Since 1998, Guys on Ice has played to soldout houses in Ephraim, Sturgeon Bay, Green Bay, Milwaukee and Madison and played for audiences as far away as California, New York and Oregon. Fred Alley wrote the following description of the show for AFT’s 1998 program:
You've seen them. Little wooden shanties sitting on lake ice. Puffs of smoke rising from chimney pipes. On a quiet day, maybe the static of a tinny radio filters through plywood walls, across the frozen tundra, back to shore. In a cold world, on a cold day, on a frozen lake, these little signs of life are all most people know of a secret culture that thrives right here amongst us. Well, wonder no more. Once again, AFT sets its sights close to home as we bring you our somewhat twisted take on the secret world of ice fisherman. Guys on Ice spends a day in the life of Marvin and Lloyd — fishing buddies and home-grown philosophers. With musical numbers like, "The Wishing Hole," "Ode to a Snowmobile Suit," "Fish is the Miracle Food" and "The One That Got Away," Guys on Ice works not only as a serious anthropological study but as a musical comedy as well.

Benefit for Rachel A. Kuntz
Please join our family and friends in assisting Rachel with her long road to recovery.
Rachel’s Story
Rachel is a beautiful, 19 year old, piercing apprentice for a local tattoo parlor. Rachel was critically injured in a very serious car accident on Cty Hyw B in Suamico, October 4, 2008. She was the rear driver side passenger and was ejected through the rear window, 11 feet into a tree, in which she remained, barely breathing and clinging to life, until she was rescued by a Good Samaritan. Rachel has no Medical Insurance to cover her overwhelming and ever increasing Medical bills. At the time of the accident Rachel was living on her own and due to her injuries and the overwhelming cost of her medical care, she must now reside with our parents.
Because of the severity of the accident and her injuries, Rachel was air lifted by Eagle III helicopter from Cty Hyw B in Suamico to St. Vincent Hospital of Green Bay. Rachel suffered from multiple injuries including a fractured skull; bruising and swelling of the brain; some lasting brain damage on the lower rear right side; punctured left lung with chest tube; bruised ribs; a tri-fractured pelvis; fractured right wrist; torn Ureter (tube connecting the kidney to the bladder); four fractured lumbar vertebra; and multiple abrasions and bruises over her entire body from being thrown from the car and stuck 11 feet in a tree. Rachel was placed on a ventilator for four days and a feeding tube for five days. On the Sixth day Dr.’s removed the chest tube and Rachel was transported by ambulance to Froedtert Hospital of Milwaukee, for surgery to repair her badly broken pelvis. After two, four inch screws and three days in Froedtert Hospital, Rachel was transported, via ambulance, back to St. Vincent Hospital ICU of Green Bay to finally start her very long road to rehabilitation. Rachel remained in the St. Vincent ICU until October 15, 2008 when she was released to complete her future months possibly years of slow recovery and physical therapy.
Because of the head injury, my sister Rachel has no memory of the accident or her hospital stay prior to the last four days before she was released. Rachel now needs a walker and wheel chair to get around as she is not able to apply even touch pressure to her right leg at this time. She also needs assistance with daily maintenance needs like washing her hair etc. due to the cast on her right fractured wrist.
Again, please join our family and friends in assisting Rachel with her long road to recovery. Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated!

PACKERS HALL OF FAME SET FOR BLACK HISTORY MONTH IN FEBRUARY
Panel Discussion Set For Feb. 26; Autograph Session Feb. 27; Weekly Featured Players
The Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame in February again will celebrate Black History Month, a program in which the organization joins the annual celebration of the achievements and contributions African-Americans have made in American History.
Now in its third year, the Packers Hall of Fame’s Black History Month has new features to offer, in addition to the panel discussion which has been a part of the first two offerings.
An autograph session, featuring Packers Hall of Famers Willie Davis (also a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame) and Dave Robinson, will be held Friday, Feb. 27, from noon to 1:30 p.m. Paid admission is required for the autograph session.
A featured Hall of Famer will be highlighted during segments of the month with an autographed football from each given away via random drawing. Visitors to the Hall can sign up at the display for a chance to win. The featured players will be Willie Davis, Edgar Bennett, LeRoy Butler, Ezra Johnson and Dave Robinson.
The annual panel discussion will take place Feb. 26 at 6:30 p.m. in the Hall of Fame and feature former players Willie Davis, Dave Robinson and Rob Davis, as well as current player Cullen Jenkins and Packers assistant director of pro personnel Tim Terry. Topics will include the contributions of African-Americans to the game of football as a whole, as well as to the success of the Packers. Admission to the Packers Hall of Fame will be free after 6 p.m. for the discussion.
“We’re looking forward to celebrating Black History Month with our guests at the Hall of Fame,” said Krissy Zegers, Packers Hall of Fame and Stadium Tours manager. “It’s an honor for the Hall to offer this program and recognize the great contributions African-American players and coaches have made to the Packers through the organization’s history.”
Visitors to the Hall of Fame will be given a booklet that will serve as their guide while touring the facility. It will provide a history of African-American players in professional football as a whole, as well as provide information on many notable African-American Packers players and coaches, including Bob Mann (1950-54), the first African-American player ever to see action in a Packers’ regular-season game.
Green and gold ribbons will be placed throughout the Hall’s exhibits to recognize the many African-American players, especially those who have been enshrined as members of the Packers Hall of Fame.
