Autism Night at the Central Wisconsin Children's Museum
On the first Monday of every month, CWCM hosts a night open exclusively to familes with autistic children. This is an opportunity to come play in a less overwhelming environment.
The program is free and is open 5-8 pm.

Don't miss the Neville’s own major, juried art exhibition! This annual exhibition has been held each year (with a few exceptions) since it was established by Museum Director Earl G. Wright in 1942. Paintings, drawings, original prints, photographs, sculpture, and ceramics were all entered by artists living throughout Northeast Wisconsin and Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Always highly competitive, only one in three or sometimes only one in two artworks entered were selected for the exhibition.
This year’s juror is Randall Berndt, co-director and curator at the James Watrous Gallery of the Wisconsin Academy of Sciences, Arts, and Letters in the Overture Center for the Arts, Madison, WI.
What was Appleton like during the Progressive Era (1850 – 1920)? The turn of the century was a period of speculation and excitement. Americans felt the excitement of world fairs and new technologies entering their daily lives. This new exhibit at the History Museum hinges on Appleton’s evolution from a fledgling manufacturing town to a modern industrial center. Through a collection of 3,000 photographs, amateur photographer W.D. Schlafer captured this rapidly changing environment during the Progressive Era in the Fox Cities. Visitors will see how much Appleton and the Fox Cities evolved as new technologies and ideas changed the lives of area residents during this transformative period.

Real Men Sing! . . . AND DO THEY EVER at this amazing concert. Just imagine some 300 young men from across the city gathering together and joining their voices in song! With special guest composer/conductor Keith Hampton, the choirs from East, North and West High Schools will join the Appleton Boychoir in an electrifying gospel music event. This year's festival will also feature a special performance of a 150 voice children's choir representing the elementary schools across the Fox Valley. Don't miss this concert . . . it is truly one of a kind!

Geology Rocks! incorporates history, art, personal experiences, group activities, regional jobs and Wisconsin’s third largest industry. This exhibit has it all: fossils, gems, jewelry, killer asteroids, volcanoes, earthquakes, minerals, lapidary, crystals, bedrock, mining, collecting, exhibit graphics and hands-on interactives… and, of course, lots of fascinating rocks!
The Appleton Education Foundation is seeking nominations for the fifth annual Thomas G. Scullen Leadership Award.
Nominations will be accepted until 2/29/2012. The award recognizes a Fox Cities resident who is considered a leader in the field of education. The winner will be selected in March and receive a $1,000 prize.

Financial Peace University is a 13-week, life-changing program that empowers and teaches you how to make the right money decisions to achieve your financial goals. The course includes practical lessons on the debt snowball plan for eliminating debt, building wealth, and cash flow (budget) planning and much, much more!
