A smart, quirky mix of indie rock and pop, the five member New York-based band Bishop Allen has produced three albums since forming in 2003. They have been featured in numerous commercials, TV shows and movies, including "Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist." The New York Times has hailed them for writing "effortlessly catchy songs which have a playful sound and lyrics full of whimsical, deceptively smart imagery."
The concert is free and open to the public.

Now in its fourth year, the Packers Hall of Fame’s Black History Month again will culminate with a panel discussion, and also include a new video about the history of African-American players in the NFL and with the Packers. Highlighted exhibits, booklets to accompany visits and an autograph session are also a part of the festivities.
The annual panel discussion, set for Feb. 25 at 6:30 p.m. in the Hall of Fame, will feature Packers all-time leading rusher Ahman Green, along with former players Willie Davis and Dave Robinson. Topics will include the contributions of African-Americans to the game of football as a whole, as well as to the success of the Packers. Admission to the Packers Hall of Fame will be free after 6 p.m. for the discussion.
An autograph session, featuring Packers Hall of Famers Willie Davis (also a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame) and Dave Robinson, will be held Friday, Feb. 26, from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the Hall of Fame’s lobby in the lower level of the Atrium. It is free to the public.
Visitors to the Hall of Fame will be given a booklet that will serve as their guide while touring the facility. It will provide a history of African-American players in professional football as a whole, as well as provide information on many notable African-American Packers players and coaches, including Bob Mann (1950-54), the first African-American player ever to see action in a Packers’ regular-season game.
Green and gold ribbons will be placed throughout the Hall’s exhibits to recognize the many African-American players, especially those who have been enshrined as members of the Packers Hall of Fame.
Local schools will get involved in the celebration as well by participating in a distance learning project with the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Four video conference sessions will be held over Feb. 18 and 19 which will feature a panel at the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Panel members include James Harris, a senior personnel executive for the Detroit Lions and a pioneer at quarterback, and Hall of Famer Ron Mix, who participated in AFL Boycott of the 1964 championship game while with the San Diego Chargers. Schools interested in participating should contact the Hall at 920/569-7145 to register.

“WARM WAFFLES IN THE WINTER”
Beat the winter blahs with crisp, hot waffles, dripping with real Door County maple syrup, warm homemade cherry sauce topped with real dairy whipped cream. Staff and volunteers of The Ridges Sanctuary invite you for the second annual “Great Waffle Breakfast” on Saturday, February 6 from 9 AM to 11 PM at the Baileys Harbor Town Hall. Free-will offering.
When you have eaten your fill you are invited to sit and visit with neighbors or refresh your skills at building Legos®, playing Scrabble® (all words must be nature oriented), or participate in a nature activity. All those who attend will receive a free Ridges’ Trail Pass to hike the trails and boardwalks enjoying the winter wonders of The Ridges Sanctuary.
The Ridges Sanctuary owes its existence to a group of visionaries who saw value in the extraordinary biodiversity of the Baileys Harbor “bog”. Emma Toft was one of the most vocal and persistent of those visionaries, and the Great Waffle Breakfast celebrates the 119th anniversary of her birthday . Thanks to the work of “Miss Emma,” the other founders, and all its members since 1937, today the Sanctuary preserves over 1600 acres in Baileys Harbor and near Clark Lake.
The Ridges Sanctuary, a non-profit nature preserve, is located just north of Baileys Harbor on County Highway Q. Trails are open to the public year round for a small fee (members may hike at no charge). Naturalist-led snowshoe hikes in the Sanctuary are scheduled on Fridays at 1 PM through February. For further information on any Ridges Sanctuary programs, call (920)839-2802, or visit the Ridges’ website, www.RidgesSanctuary.org.
