Children are born to learn! This program will help parents find out how to encourage their child's learning throughout the early years. Topics covered with include how to support your child's development, effective discipline, creating a learning friendly household, and how to avoid some common parenting mistakes. A snack and free childcare is provided.

The Surise Optimist Club meets every Thursday morning 7:30 at the Harmony Cafe at 1660 West Mason Street Green Bay. Our goal is to help the kids at Jefferson Middle School. Join us for Breakfast and decide if you would like to join our club. Questions contact John at 920-360-5711.

What was Appleton like during the Progressive Era (1850 – 1920)? The turn of the century was a period of speculation and excitement. Americans felt the excitement of world fairs and new technologies entering their daily lives. This new exhibit at the History Museum hinges on Appleton’s evolution from a fledgling manufacturing town to a modern industrial center. Through a collection of 3,000 photographs, amateur photographer W.D. Schlafer captured this rapidly changing environment during the Progressive Era in the Fox Cities. Visitors will see how much Appleton and the Fox Cities evolved as new technologies and ideas changed the lives of area residents during this transformative period.

Step into a comical world of 1950's pop culture with Ricky Bernstein's Kitchen Dreams. Using glass, aluminum and childhood memories, artist Ricky Bernstein pieces together everyday life through a caricature of social roles and cultural icons. Bernstein;s life-sized collages animate a bold, bright, somewhat surreal world, bound to bring you a good belly laugh. Hours: Tuesday - Saturday 10am-4:30pm Sunday 1-4:30pm Shop hours the same Admission to the museum is free, donations are appreciated and essential to our operations.

Eat Well, Play Well, a special exhibit running April 7 to Sept. 9 at The Building for Kids Children’s Museum, encourages healthy living by teaching the science of making healthy food choices and helping children and adults discover there are many fun and interesting ways to stay active. Visitors will discover through interactive exhibits what an appropriate serving size looks like, see firsthand what it takes to burn off calories, test their flexibility and balance, review the latest clinical research and realize they can reduce their risk of disease with healthy choices

Consisting of 48 individual mosaics created by people affected by cancer and other illnesses, the mosaic wall uses creative self-expression as a powerful vehicle for holistic healing of body, mind, and spirit. This project is sponcered by Beacon House, Inc., a non-profit, volunteer sustained resourse center in Green Bay whose mission is to support the life changing process of healing. Event is free. Will be on exhibit May 1 through 31, 2012.

Spring comes to life at the farm. Baby chicks, baby ducklings, baby kid goats, baby lambs, baby piglets, baby calves, baby ponies, baby kittens, baby bunnies...baby, baby do we have babies!

Milk a cow, ride a pony, enjoy a hay ride, catch a chicken, kiss a pig, cuddle a kitten and more!

This is a 100% FREE Fit Club for all fitness levels to attend. We have a blast making our lives healthier together. It is held every Thursday at the Ramada Plaza in Green Bay. Auditions for The Enchantment of Beauty and the Beast

The itty bitty Comedy Show is Green Bay's weekly dose of stand up comedy. Hosted by 2-time winner of Wisconsin's Funniest Comedian, Nick Mortensen, the show allows the audience to bear witness to emerging local stand up talent each Thursday evening at 8 at Venture Theatre in De Pere

The Green Bay Packers present Football the Exhibit- the Neville’s new, interactive display which explores the science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) behind the game! Football includes a mixture of artifacts, text, video and hands-on activities with something for everyone! See how you hold up to a lineman by measuring your strength with the “Grip Tester.” Think you're fast enough to out-run the defense? Then bring your running shoes to the Sprint Track. Football covers everything from the history of the sport, to the equipment, to the cutting edge medical technology used to treat common injuries. You’ll also discover key concepts like collisions, peripheral vision, and balance, too. So what are you waiting for? Put your helmet on, get in there and score a touchdown at Football!
Football the Exhibit is presented by the Green Bay Packers with additional support from Associated Bank, Prevea Sports Medicine and NBC 26. Football has been developed by the Museum of Discovery, Little Rock, Arkansas.
