Pudgy Pets is a unique pet weight loss program that combines weekly meetings, veterinary guidance and nutritional counseling, the support of veterinary staff and other pet owners along with a fun exercise activity. Pet participants are required to have a physical exam prior to starting the program to take baseline measurements and ensure they have no health risks which may affect participation. Pets also must be up to date on vaccinations. Please call to register or for more information.

What was Appleton like during the Progressive Era (1850 – 1920)? The turn of the century was a period of speculation and excitement. Americans felt the excitement of world fairs and new technologies entering their daily lives. This new exhibit at the History Museum hinges on Appleton’s evolution from a fledgling manufacturing town to a modern industrial center. Through a collection of 3,000 photographs, amateur photographer W.D. Schlafer captured this rapidly changing environment during the Progressive Era in the Fox Cities. Visitors will see how much Appleton and the Fox Cities evolved as new technologies and ideas changed the lives of area residents during this transformative period.

Fun is the name of the game with this family-friendly exhibit about toys. From Jack-in-the-Box to Hokey Pokey Elmo, take a peek inside some of today’s and yesterday’s popular toys to explore the gadgets and gizmos that make them work. Toys features 12 different hands-on stations that illustrate the simple mechanisms commonly found in toys and is full of kid-friendly games and challenges. Trace patterns on a gigantic Etch A Sketch or become a master toymaker and experiment with the many different mechanical and electrical doodads that make toys so fun! Get the family together and get ready… get set… GO PLAY!

Step into a comical world of 1950's pop culture with Ricky Bernstein's Kitchen Dreams. Using glass, aluminum and childhood memories, artist Ricky Bernstein pieces together everyday life through a caricature of social roles and cultural icons. Bernstein;s life-sized collages animate a bold, bright, somewhat surreal world, bound to bring you a good belly laugh. Hours: Tuesday - Saturday 10am-4:30pm Sunday 1-4:30pm Shop hours the same Admission to the museum is free, donations are appreciated and essential to our operations.

Time to Parade! The 2012 Butterflies & Friends on Parade starts its march the beginning of June and struts through August. Art pieces will decorate the Fox River between the Ray Nitschke Bridge and Walnut St. Bridge in Downtown Green Bay. Butterflies, turtles, bears and frogs are returning joined by a duck, otter, fish, pelicans, and snails. You can’t miss this menagerie! The Butterflies and Friends is a fundraiser for The Einstein Project whose goal it is to inspire kids through hands-on science. Eat Well, Play Well, a special exhibit running April 7 to Sept. 9 at The Building for Kids Children’s Museum, encourages healthy living by teaching the science of making healthy food choices and helping children and adults discover there are many fun and interesting ways to stay active. Visitors will discover through interactive exhibits what an appropriate serving size looks like, see firsthand what it takes to burn off calories, test their flexibility and balance, review the latest clinical research and realize they can reduce their risk of disease with healthy choices

The Waterboard Warriors Water Ski Team offers a family-friendly environment, performing free ski shows for the community. The show provides a variety of acts including large pyramids, barefooting, jump, strap doubles, ballet, and more. The show is themed with costumes and music for a unique and entertaining experience. The ski site is located in Brown County Park, in Wrightstown, half-way between Green Bay and Appleton on the East side of the Fox River. Many people bring lawnchairs and / or blankets to sit on during the show. Sunglasses are recommended. We do have concessions available on site including water, soda, candy, snacks, and more. We are a non-profit community organization.

The Green Bay Packers present Football the Exhibit- the Neville’s new, interactive display which explores the science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) behind the game! Football includes a mixture of artifacts, text, video and hands-on activities with something for everyone! See how you hold up to a lineman by measuring your strength with the “Grip Tester.” Think you're fast enough to out-run the defense? Then bring your running shoes to the Sprint Track. Football covers everything from the history of the sport, to the equipment, to the cutting edge medical technology used to treat common injuries. You’ll also discover key concepts like collisions, peripheral vision, and balance, too. So what are you waiting for? Put your helmet on, get in there and score a touchdown at Football!
Football the Exhibit is presented by the Green Bay Packers with additional support from Associated Bank, Prevea Sports Medicine and NBC 26. Football has been developed by the Museum of Discovery, Little Rock, Arkansas.

Dog Swim to benefit the Friends of Winnebago County Dog Parks - a fundraiser to improve current dog park at Winnebago County Park, and for the acquisition of a new dog park in Winnebago County
$5.00 per dog. One dog person to raise money for the dog parks in Winnebago County WI.
We gave multiple dates this year they are below. Please remember to bring WRITTEN proof of rabies for each dog. NO tags will be accepted.
Additional rules are:
• Only well behaved dogs are allowed. • Owners are responsible for their dogs at ALL times, including cleaning up after their dogs.
• One dog per adult person (18+).
• No dogs in heat.
• We reserve the right to dismiss any dog for unruly or aggressive behavior.
• There will be no human swimming at this event.
