Explore Wisconsin’s long and rich deer hunting tradition with this outdoorsmen’s dream exhibit. Trophy bucks, classic guns and interactive displays give a detailed look at the history and heritage of Wisconsin’s annual rite of autumn. The exhibit tracks various hunting trends and techniques, from prehistoric pursuits to the rise of the bow hunter, and captures the thrill of the hunt as it takes visitors inside the state’s most scared sporting season.
Come see the newest temporary exhibits at the Weis Earth Science Museum on “the Ledge”—the steep rock cliffs of the Niagara Escarpment, which extends across much of North America.
This exhibit showcases the paintings of the Water’s Edge Artists, who have formed a collaboration with the Lakeshore Natural Resource Partnership to conserve Wisconsin precious land and water resources. These artists create their paintings “on location” in nature (en plein air). All paintings on exhibit at the Weis are available for purchase.
Also featured is a mini-exhibit highlighting the geology and history of the Niagara Escarpment. It includes a game to see if you can match photos of the ledge to their location. The Weis is open seven days a week to the public. Please check our website or give us a call for our business hours. Exhibit ends December 31, 2010.

One of the cutest thing in the world is how expressive a child is when they hear music. With such innocence and energy they are unhindered to express what they hear with movement. It is the perfect time to begin to develop body awareness and confidence.
This Fun Belly Dance class is designed to help you better understand the movements that create the structure of belly dance. Teaching techniques through isolations and muscular training we will focus on movement break downs so that you begin with the correct techniques to perform any of the common moves, such as upper body undulations , chest circles, hip circles, drops & shimmies'. This all adds up to a great workout, and a whole lot of shaking going on. However, the goal of the class is proper technique and to prepare you for the next level of belly dance.
Class attire is fitted comfortable clothes. No skirts so as instructor can see the knees and lower back position. Example: Full fitted or half coverage top (as to see tummy) Yoga pant, Stretchy pant, or shorts with or without hip scarf or coin belt and bare feet. Hip scarves are available to purchase.
