Fun is the name of the game with this family-friendly exhibit about toys. From Jack-in-the-Box to Hokey Pokey Elmo, take a peek inside some of today’s and yesterday’s popular toys to explore the gadgets and gizmos that make them work. Toys features 12 different hands-on stations that illustrate the simple mechanisms commonly found in toys and is full of kid-friendly games and challenges. Trace patterns on a gigantic Etch A Sketch or become a master toymaker and experiment with the many different mechanical and electrical doodads that make toys so fun! Get the family together and get ready… get set… GO PLAY!

Step into a comical world of 1950's pop culture with Ricky Bernstein's Kitchen Dreams. Using glass, aluminum and childhood memories, artist Ricky Bernstein pieces together everyday life through a caricature of social roles and cultural icons. Bernstein;s life-sized collages animate a bold, bright, somewhat surreal world, bound to bring you a good belly laugh. Hours: Tuesday - Saturday 10am-4:30pm Sunday 1-4:30pm Shop hours the same Admission to the museum is free, donations are appreciated and essential to our operations.

The Green Bay Packers present Football the Exhibit- the Neville’s new, interactive display which explores the science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) behind the game! Football includes a mixture of artifacts, text, video and hands-on activities with something for everyone! See how you hold up to a lineman by measuring your strength with the “Grip Tester.” Think you're fast enough to out-run the defense? Then bring your running shoes to the Sprint Track. Football covers everything from the history of the sport, to the equipment, to the cutting edge medical technology used to treat common injuries. You’ll also discover key concepts like collisions, peripheral vision, and balance, too. So what are you waiting for? Put your helmet on, get in there and score a touchdown at Football!
Football the Exhibit is presented by the Green Bay Packers with additional support from Associated Bank, Prevea Sports Medicine and NBC 26. Football has been developed by the Museum of Discovery, Little Rock, Arkansas.

Fertile Ground: Art and Agriculture features historic paintings and prints from the Neville's permanent collection, folk art and contemporary artwork by Wisconsin artists.

Local folk/blues band the Dead Horses will perform a concert and workshop for singers and songwriters. This is a great opportunity to hear from local talent, and ask questions!

Slow the Spread – Implementing Wisconsin’s Invasive Species Rule with Businesses

 

 

The Door County Invasive Species Team (DCIST) will be hosting a public meeting on August 20th from 7-9pm in the John and Helen Collins Learning Center at Crossroads at Big Creek in Sturgeon Bay.  Chrystal Schreck, an Invasive Species Education and Outreach Specialist for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR), will be presenting on Wisconsin’s Invasive Species Rule (Chapter NR 40).  This rule identifies and regulates invasive species with the goal of preventing or slowing their spread both within and into Wisconsin.  The Wisconsin DNR has been working with many partner groups and agencies to slow the spread of invasive species and the Chapter NR 40 has provided a consistent platform from which they are reaching out to agency staff, community groups, businesses and the public.  This is your chance to learn about the invasive species regulations, especially as they apply to businesses.  Whether you are a business or a community member, this session will give you the tools you need to comply with the regulations and slow the spread of invasive species in your region.
